Staple Product Review: Affirm FiberGuard Sustenance Fortifying Treatment

Whoop Whoop! Yes this protein treatment is that good on my hair.

On the Bottle:  FiberGuard Sustenance Fortifying Treatment contains Fiber Strengthening Complex (FSC), a revolutionary conditioning complex exclusive to Avlon that penetrates deep within the hair shaft cuticles are open immediately after rinsing of the relaxer, FSC contains ceramides, known as Lipid Replenshing Molecules (LRMs), which enter the hair fiber to replace natural shine properties depleted by chemical processing. Sustenance also consists of special fruit extracts that strengthen newly relaxed hair while replenshing lost moisture. Sustenance lowers the pH of hair after relaxing, leaving only newly relaxed hair in the best condition possible with incredible shine, softness and body.

DIRECTIONS:  Apply Sustenance liberally. During application, section the hair with fingertips to insure destribution throughout the entire head of head of hair, especially to the just-related sections near the scalp. Leave on for 5 minutes only. Rinse hair well and towel blot. As weekly Intensive Conditioning Treatment. Apply liberally after shampooing and distribute well. Cover hair with plastic cap and leave on up to 30 minutes for damaged hair. (Dryer optional) Rinse well and proceed to style.

My synopsis: I've been looking for a protein conditioner that would strengthen and soften my hair. I would get one or the other. I've been using this for some time now as instructed on the bottle (after a relaxer and for a conditioning treatment). Today I used it after my green tea rinse instead of my moisture/protein combo and I love the way my hair feels a great deal better. Apparently I needed more protein in my hair than I realized because my hair sucked it up and feels absolutely fab...soft, shine and strong.
I didn't know anything about applying a protein conditioner after a relaxer but before neutralizing until I switched over to Affirm relaxer system. Now I do it all the time and feel my hair is so much healthier for putting the protein back into my hair. I recently purchased another brand of deep conditioner and will do a review on that and there are other conditioners I want to try but this is and still remains my go to deep conditioner.
