November 23rd Wash Day

On the 19th I started working at a major retail store. I was hired on as seasonal employment. I'm grateful to be working and the work is fast paced. I started this blog while unemployed and now I have to readjust my schedule to include time to blog, video blog and most important DO MY HAIR!
Time does NOT stand still for no one and I'm in a position of having to 1) Winterize my hair regimen, 2) revise my regimen to accommodate my new work schedule and 3) continue to make record of it as I go along.
By the time I got around to washing my hair it was a grease ball and I had a great deal of shedding going on. I didn't panic, I just made sure to take extra care of my strands with a good pre-poo mix I've used on a number of occasions. With the pre-poo conditioning mix I just applied to my dry new growth only. I could hear the praises coming from my new growth thanking me for all the hydration I was providing.
With the conditioning pre-poo still on my scalp I applied a Greek yogurt and Honey conditioning mask to my remaining strands for about 40 minutes. My hair felt really good.
I gently shampooed with Creme of Nature with Argan Oil Sulfate-free Moisture & Shine Shampoo then conditioned with Dove Hair Therapy Daily Treatment Conditioner. This was my first time using the Dove conditioner. I liked the smell and it felt good on my hair but I don't feel it left my hair as moisturized as some of my other conditioners. I'll use it a couple more times before making a final decision :)
Now here is where my hair decided to go down its own path of dehydration. As soon as I rinsed out all the conditioner my hair dried to about 75-80% in 5 minutes. It puffed out and felt hard to the touch. My husband didn't think so but I was still skeptical. I went on ahead and applied my leave-ins, CHI Silk Infusion and Its a 10 followed by my thermals TRESemme Thermal Creations and Design Essentials Botanical Oil, then blow dryed.
I sectioned my hair into small sections, applied additional CHI serum and TRESemme to each section before using my GHD thermal flat iron. I'm in desperate need of a trim and I'm scheduled for one in December. I don't know if I'll be able to keep my appointment due to the new job. So as I went along flat ironing I trimmed about a half inch to an inch in some areas.
No final result pics, sorry. I will say that even though the results were ok, I still felts more on the dry side. The last few days I've been moisturizing and sealing my strands and spraying my new growth with my Rose Water Spritz. Happy Journey to You!
